MBS Radio Expands Reach with Acquisition of Five New Stations in Four Maritime Markets

[Halifax, April 7th] – Maritime Broadcasting Systems Ltd – MBS Radio – the largest privately held radio broadcasting company in Atlantic Canada, has finalized expansion into four new markets with the acquisition of five additional radio stations, purchased from Bell Media. This strategic move strengthens MBS Radio’s commitment to delivering high-quality programming, local news, and entertainment to communities across the Maritimes.
The new Stations include:
Truro, NS:
- CKTY Pure Country 99.5, now Cat Country 99.5
- CKTO The Bounce 100.9, now The Wave 100.9
Bathurst, NB:
- CKBC Bounce 104.9, now The Wave 104.9
Grand Falls, NB:
- CIKX Bounce 93.5, now The Wave 93.5
Woodstock, NB:
- CJCJ Pure Country 104.1, now The Wave 104.1
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for MBS Radio, reinforcing its position as a leader in Atlantic Canadian broadcasting.
