Maritime Broadcasting System Limited

MBS Radio (Maritime Broadcasting System Limited) is a locally owned and operated group of 24 radio stations across the Maritimes. We need someone to quarterback our news department at our stations CFCY/CHLQ/SPUD-FM located in beautiful Charlottetown, PE. The successful candidate will write and announce the local news. The duties also include:

• Attending press conferences
• Sourcing audio
• Filing reports with audio with our regional news room
• Acting as a liaison with community partners such as the RCMP
• Gather local community information and write stories for Maritime News Network (MNN) as well record voicers for MNN

We're interested in you, if you:

• Have an understanding of Burli
• Have the ability to source news from all available outlets
• Have at least 2 years experience in a similar sized market
• Are as fun in the hallways as you are in the control room
• Are flexible in your availability of hours
• Have a valid driver's license
